Location: Berkeley Marina

Date: Sunday April 13, 2008

Time: 4:00-7:00PM

Additional Information:

Dear FCC Teens, Families, and UCB Mentors,

Thank you for RSVPing for the final event of G2-CC this year. We’re really looking forward to a fun field day and BBQ!!

Here are some important details and reminders:

Directions (from UCB):

Go DOWN University
Turn RIGHT at Marina Blvd. – the road will curve left (and you’ll see a sign that says Cesar Chavez Park)
Keep going – you’ll soon see a parking lot on your left (mostly big cars with boats park there, but after 3pm anybody can park). We should be in the park on the right!

Look for a small, rainbow kite
when you get to Cesar Chavez Park.

Dress:
It’s supposed to be a sunny day. But just in case, you might want to bring a jacket.
Wear comfortable shoes, and wear something you don’t mind getting dirty! (not that we’re planning anything that will get you dirty, but it is a field day!)

Thanks and see you tomorrow!!!
Leslie, Grace and Andrea

News

January 28, 2008

Big thanks to all our volunteers who came out today to the FCC Northern California BTNY party at the Golden Gate Club in San Francisco.  I hope everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves.  Our red bracelet raffle was quite successful :)

And in even bigger news…we raised over $1000 for China Care (check out www.chinacare.org for more information) from our December 2007 Holiday Fundraiser party at Barnes & Noble (Jack London Square).  It was a HUGE success, and we are so grateful to all of our volunteers and teens who made this a tremendous event.

We are currently accepting more teens into our mentor program.  We are also currently recruiting new volunteers from UC Berkeley.  We have a few officer positions available for current (or new) members that are interested in becoming more involved with G2-CC :)   If you would like more information about anything, feel free to contact one of the co-directors:

 Grace Cheung - e-mail: gcheung@berkeley.edu

Andrea Lu – e-mail: aalu@berkeley.edu

Leslie Sheu – e-mail: lcsheu@gmail.com

Please check back frequently for updates and announcements!
